Dr. Paul Myer originally from New Jersey has been an Edwardsville resident since his senior year, graduating from Edwardsville High School in 1979. Upon graduation he transitioned to college life here he graduated with a bachelor’s degree biology from SIUe in 1983.
As a part of the 1984 graduating class he received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois in Veterinary Science. Furthering his education and passion he obtained his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois.
During his college years Dr. Myer worked at Hawthorne until his graduation. The four years after graduation took him to Freeport Illinois and Washington University for diverse job opportunities. He returned home to Hawthorne and has helped Edwardsville families ensure their pets receive the highest possible care.
Dr. Myer’s special interests include orthopedic surgery and wildlife rehabilitation.
In his free time, Dr. Myer enjoys spending time with his wife Donna, and their son Andrew. He also enjoys fishing, working on old cars, and pretending to be a farmer.
